Who is our client?

  • Founded in 2006, Village Park Homes (“VPH”) is a premier custom homebuilder delivering quality homes in the fast-growing coastal communities of South Carolina, including Beaufort County, Hilton Head, Bluffton, Bryan, and Chatham Counties.
  • VPH builds quality merchant-built homes that range between $150K to <$1MM and appeal to a wide variety of lifestyles for both working families and active retirees.
  • Recognized as a local leader in custom homes, VPH earned 10 LightHouse Awards from the Hilton Head Area Home Builders Association in 2016 and 2017.
  • In addition to home building, VPH designs and constructs the master communities around each home. These communities are sized between 20 to 500 homes and include features such as clubhouses, health and fitness centers, golf courses, lakes, and walking and bike trails.

Why did Village Park Homes hire ButcherJoseph?

  • As a privately-held company, Village Park Homes (VPH) sought to form a comprehensive partnership with a financial sponsor or strategic acquirer.
  • VPH achieved significant growth in sales and was seeking to team up with a capital partner to explore alternatives to fund further expansion and provide liquidity to the shareholder.

What did ButcherJoseph deliver?

  • ButcherJoseph’s team investigated the market for successful firms that were best aligned with Village Park Home’s (VPH) growth goals and delivered Dream Finders Homes to VPH’s leadership team.
  • Founded in 2008, Dream Finders Homes is the largest privately-owned home builder in NE Florida. They closed over 1,400 homes in 2018 and are considered one of the largest homebuilders in the nation.
  • The acquisition will help both brands grow their presence throughout the Southeast coast and continue their focus on delivering a higher level of quality at a more affordable price.
  • With the expansion, the combined organization has plans to close over 2,000 homes in 2019, continuing on their impressive growth trajectory.
